This is the Beginning

Today, I turn seventeen. Not that I find seventeen to be of any glamorous significance, but it's all exciting nonetheless. And so with a change in my age, I decided to make a few changes in my life.

This blog is the first one.

I've never run a blog before, and I actually found out that it's really quite complicated. There are so many options and so many ways you can do things, which makes it hard to get it exactly how you want it. But I took on this change because I wanted to do something. You see, I'm a thinker. I think and I think and I think and ultimately all of those thoughts just stay in my head and they don't go anywhere; they don't have any effects. And I was sick of that. These things that I think are just stuck and I couldn't find a way to get them out. I wanted to share these ideas that I've had, but I never found the right way to do it. So one day, through all of the thinking, I realized something.

I realized I could create a blog.

And so, here it is. This is my blog. I still don't know what I'm doing, but I'm looking forward to learning along the way.

I hope you enjoy this new project of mine. I'm putting my entire mind onto the internet, which is something I've never done before. But if I can make even just one person take a step back and think about things in a new way or offer up a new perspective, then my purpose will have been filled. I just want my voice to be heard, and eventually, I want to hear the voices of others, too. I'm so excited for this new change in my life. It'll be a good one.

PS I know that you're probably confused and that this wasn't the most fantastic or descriptive introduction. I have goals in mind, but I don't want to say each and every thing I'm planning on doing with this blog so it's still a flexible thing. I promise it'll make more sense as you continue to follow along, and as more posts come. I think this is a journey we're both going to enjoy.

Trust me on this one.
